What
can Clearwater Lakes offer me?
Clearwater
Lakes are set in a stunning tranquil location in the heart of rural
Brittany away from the hustle and bustle of everyday city life.
The
complex is situated within 28 acres of dense forest , which surround
and overhang the margins of two mature spring fed lakes, which were
excavated around 1810 for the sole purpose of recreational fishing.
Spring
Lake (10 acres) has easy access to numerous swims and boasts a good
head of fish including mirrors and commons from doubles to 60lbs.
Numbers are restricted to 8 anglers
Mill Lake (3 acres) holds a stock of 250 carp, ranging from low doubles to mid 20's with pike, perch, tench and rudd also in the lake. Fishing is exclusive to a maximum of 2 anglers (ideal for beginners) allowing each angler 2 rods with fishing permitted from dawn to dusk, making it an ideal 'runs' water. The Mill Lakes season runs from March to September.
There
is a facilities block on site that offers showers and toilets, with
bait, tackle, breakfasts, drinks and snacks available from the farmhouse
and the shop.
