Terms and Conditions

1. Once Clearwater Lakes receive your completed booking form and deposit, your holiday will be reserved for you and your party. Your booking is taken to be confirmed and accepted in respect of all persons travelling when we forward our invoice to the person signing the booking form.
2. A non-refundable deposit of £100 per person must accompany your completed booking form.
3. The balance is required no later than 8 weeks before your booking date. If a booking is placed 10 weeks prior to your arrival date the total cost of your holiday must be paid in full and sent with all other necessary documents.
4. If full payment is not received 8 weeks prior to the arrival date, Clearwater Lakes reserve the right to cancel your booking: payments may not be refunded and a cancellation fee incurred.
5. If however you cancel your confirmed booking, it will only be accepted in writing, signed by the Group Organiser and the following charges will apply:
   1. Cancellation 8 weeks or more before travel date cancellation fee = deposit only
   2. Cancellation 5 - 8 weeks before travel date cancellation fee = 50% of the total cost
   3. Cancellation less than 5 weeks before travel date cancellation fee = full cost of the holiday
6. All travel arrangements / requirements are your responsibility and we accept no responsibility for delays or cancellations in ferries or, if there are irregularities in your documents.
7. Force Majeure: We will not be held liable for loss or delay occasioned by any of the following: Strikes, Political Unrest, Riots, Port Closures, War or Threat of, Terrorist Activity, Industrial Disputes, Fire, Flood, Technical / Weather problems to transportation, Acts of God or any other event(s) beyond our control.
8. If any changes to the confirmed booking are required, we will try and be flexible wherever possible.
9. Children aged 12 years and over are permitted to fish at the lakes. Please note ALL children under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by a paying adult angler.
10. Pets are not allowed.
11. Jurisdiction: Signature on the booking form constitutes acceptance of a contract on these terms subject to French Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the French Courts.
12. We reserve the right to terminate your vacation if you are in any way causing a disturbance or harm to other anglers, other people, grounds, lakes or property. You will not be liable to a refund / compensation and you may incur costs for any damage carried out.
13. The person signing the booking form should have read and accepted these terms and conditions. Please note that these Booking Terms & Conditions also apply to all bookings made for The Cottage. Deposits are accepted on the strict undertaking that this action has been taken.

Cottage Letting Conditions

The following letting conditions also apply to visitors booking the cottage:

• Keys will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival and returnable by 10:30am on the day of departure.
• The maximum sleeping capacity must not be exceeded.
• The cottage is equipped with crockery, kitchen utensils, pillows, bedding, duvets, etc. sufficient for the number of occupants. Please note you are required to bring your own towels.
• Clearwater lakes shall not be liable for any fault o breakdown of any mechanical, electrical or any other items of equipment, goods or property, but we shall do our best endeavours to make repair or replacement within a reasonable time.
• A £100 security deposit is payable in advance. On departure a visit will be carried out with the client present. The cottage must be left clean and tidy including cooker, fridge and other equipment. A claim against the security deposit may be made for damage or lack of reasonable cleanliness found on departure and any breakages. The security deposit will be refunded (by cheque) in full to the group organiser on departure, providing the aforementioned criteria are not in question. Please note it may be necessary to delay the repayment if estimates/invoices are required for work/replacement of items.
• A washing only service is offered and charged on site at £5.00/€7.50 per domestic size load.
